Biography

Izzy Antonelli, MS, CSCS, CPT, CES
Izzy Antonelli is a Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a strong foundation in exercise physiology, functional movement, and performance training. She holds a Master of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from Boston University. Izzy is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and also holds certifications as a Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM-CPT) and as a Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CES).
Izzy’s passion for movement and performance began early. She grew up in the personal training studio owned by her mother, where she saw firsthand the meaningful impact that thoughtful coaching and consistent exercise can have on people’s lives. Although she initially pursued a pre-medical track during her undergraduate studies, her experiences in training and coaching continually drew her back to the gym environment, where she discovered her calling to help others build strength, confidence, and resilience through movement.
Her professional experience includes working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Champion Physical Therapy and Performance, interning with the strength and conditioning staff at Harvard University where she frequently led golf and tennis training sessions, and coaching softball at Wellesley College.
Izzy specializes in functional strength training and individualized conditioning programs designed to improve movement quality, build sustainable strength, and reduce injury risk. She has a particular interest in working with athletes, any adult looking to use fitness to enhance their longevity, and peri- and post-menopausal women seeking to maintain strength, mobility, and metabolic health through this important stage of life.
In her day-to-day work, Izzy prioritizes individualized, one-on-one coaching. She develops customized training plans that blend scientific knowledge with practical experience, ensuring that clients feel supported, safe, and empowered throughout their fitness journey. Whether she is refining movement patterns, helping clients work toward new performance goals, or creating a supportive environment for people to reconnect with their physical wellbeing, Izzy strives to make training both effective and meaningful.
Outside the gym, Izzy enjoys lifting, running, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. She loves spending time with her dogs, occasionally volunteers with the Animal Rescue League of Boston, and enjoys caring for her growing collection of indoor plants and making art whenever she has the chance.
